Rules

The fishery rules laid down by the management of Les Lacs du Verger are designed to protect the venue, the fish and our customers and to ensure the long term success of the fishery for all to enjoy. Breaking the rules compromises this goal and will be viewed as a breach of your contract with us and we reserve the right to terminate our contractual obligations and ask you to leave the fishery without compensation.

 

ARRIVAL – DEPARTURE & AGE RESTRICTIONS

Anglers will not be permitted onto the complex before 1pm on the Saturday of arrival and must vacate the venue totally by 10am on the day of departure leaving the complex in a clean and tidy state.

Anglers with guests under 16 years must be under the constant one to one supervision of an adult who must accept full responsibility for their actions, their welfare and behaviour.

Guests are only permitted to fish the lake upon which they are booked

 

THE FISH

  • ABSOLUTELY NO SACKING OF FISH. Fish must be retained in a landing net for the shortest possible period in preparation for weighing and photography.
  • Weigh mats and the fish must be doused with water during the weighing process.
  • All fish to be weighed then photographed and returned to the swim from which they were captured.
  • Any removal of a fish from the venue will be reported as a theft.
  • No movement of fish between Orchard & Willow Lakes permitted.
  • No unapproved stocking of fish to the site.
  • Report all fish damage to management however minor.

 

BAIT

  • No seed based particles, nuts or pellets to be brought to the site.
  • Only particles and pellets provided and prepared by North Grove Fisheries are to be used.
  • Strictly no marine/halibut pellets to be used on site.
  • No shelf-life boillies to be used on site.

 

METHODS AND TACKLE

  • We operate a three rod policy.
  • Mono line only with a minimum breaking strain of 15 lbs. NO braided mainline. Please ensure your lines are in tip top condition and note that we recommend the use of ‘non technical’ mono such as Insight GR60 by Gardner, and Krystonite the fluorocarbon coated line available from Kryston.
  • Absolutely no leaders of any kind to be used (e.g. lead core or korda Safe Zone, braid and leaders are only allowed on marker and spot rods.
  • Hooklink material to be a minimum of 25lb.
  • A minimum of 250mm tubing above the lead is mandatory.
  • Microbarb Hooks only.
  • No bent or acutely curved hooks are to be used (i.e. ‘Long Shank Nailers’)
  • All rods to be wound in when you leaving your swim for protracted periods such as meal times and certainly when you are off site.

We retain the right to make spot checks on rigs to ensure these are safe and meet our criteria. This is to protect our fish from potential damage and cut down on the number of fish that are lost during the fight.

Our carp are a robust hard fighting strain that require the right gear and expertise to land them. We recognise that many of our clients are experienced anglers who require no guidance however, as we cater for all levels of expertise and are more than happy to provide advice and guidance where required.

THE ENVIRONMENT

The gates are to be closed and locked at all times however short the interval between you entering and exiting them.

Please treat the environment around the lakes with respect and consider the others fishing around you.

  • No littering will be tolerated and this includes cigarette butts and bottle tops.
  • No damage or pruning of trees or bank side vegetation is permitted. Please report anything which requires management attention.
  • Please close the gates to the fishery when your are entering or exiting the venue for however short a period.
  • No firearms to be bought to the venue.
  • No boats-other than bait boats allowed.
  • No swimming or deep wading.
  • No open fires.
  • No audible music beyond your swim.
  • No bright lights visible beyond the environs of your swim.

 

THE FACILITIES

Please leave all facilities as you would expect to find them or risk being banned from any future visits.

 

GENERAL BEHAVIOUR

We respectfully ask all of our guests to behave in a sensible and responsible way and to respect the fishery, our other guests and the local area when they are visiting Les Lacs du Verger. Excessive alcohol consumption and the illegal use of drugs and substances will not be tolerated.

Criminal behaviour will be reported to and dealt with by the local police.
